YourDay showcases at IAAPA
At IAAPA this November, YourDay, Inc showcases its personalized souvenir, launched at Alton Towers in August 2007 - a world first which offers guests to the UK’s favourite theme park the unique opportunity to star in their own movie.
The movie-standard 20 minute DVD, which retails at just $40, features footage which visitors could not otherwise obtain of their visit with the use of state-of-the-art technology and radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled wristbands. The DVD seamlessly combines stock video of Alton Towers in action, specially filmed by YourDay, with unique clips of the guest enjoying their day. A shorter, single ride DVD retails at just $10. All DVDs are produced in under five minutes at the YourDay store in the Towers Street shopping area at Alton Towers.

Our system provides a movie but will also drive still photographs and upload clips to be downloaded to phones, PCs, PDAs and social networking websites, providing a complete range of imaging products for our clients and their guests.”
Market research undertaken by Alton Towers suggests that 50% of Alton Towers park guests are definitely or likely to buy a DVD while 51% are definitely or likely to buy a download. Families with children were particularly interested in YourDay, but the respondents with the highest propensity to buy were teenagers and young adults followed by 25-34 year olds. An amazing 83% of respondents would definitely show their DVD to friends and family, thereby creating a valuable marketing tool for Alton Towers.
