YourDay invites theme park guests to star in their own motion picture souvenir of their day in the park.
As guests move from ride to ride, they are filmed by cameras strategically located to record the highlights of their day, and also to promote the park looking its best. The RFID wristband worn by each participating guest permits the system to individually tag each personalized video clip, which is digitally stored, awaiting retrieval and insert-editing into a movie. At the end of their visit, guests have the chance to buy a professionally produced ‘movie’ of their day, featuring unique personalized footage of them and their friends or family having a great time. The YourDay movie is notable for high production values, spectacular photography and a stirring soundtrack.
YourDay is a video souvenir that is both timely and timeless; it captures the moments of the day and preserves and presents those memories forever.
There are two choices of YourDay personalized souvenir:
- Multi-ride DVD package
This high quality 20-minute DVD contains stock video of the theme park in action, including the most popular rides and attractions, with a stirring soundtrack. Seamlessly woven into this are 30 to 40 unique clips (4 to 5 minutes) of the guest and his or her friends and family enjoying their day. - Single ride DVD
This DVD features the guest enjoying a particular ride and comprises personalized footage seamlessly woven into the stock video of that particular ride. At Alton Towers, the single ride DVDs are typically between 90 and 120 seconds in duration. Theme parks can choose which of their biggest attractions they’d like to include in filming.
The YourDay DVD can be made available in multiple languages for a worldwide market.
Product enhancements
We never stand still and have developed a number of product enhancements which were released in early 2008, including:
- Make your own movie
This feature allows guests to choose which rides they want included in their movie, then the system edits and produces the final movie accordingly.
- Preview at point-of-purchase
We have developed our EPOS system so that guests are able to preview clips from their movie at the till prior to purchase.

These video clips will feature the same personalized footage that’s been captured at the theme park, available to download from the YourDay website in a variety of formats for retransmission by phone, email or posting to other websites.
